Testimonials

Read what our happy students have to say about our program!

“For a very long time, I dreamed of becoming a wedding planner but struggled to find the right path. I was not sure if obtaining a certificate from QC School, WPIC or an educational institution would make my dreams come true. I knew these options would not give me the experiences and skills necessary to be a successful wedding planner. When I came across Trade Sensation and learned more about the programs offered for students, I realized that I could not let this rare opportunity go away. Since day one, I was fortunate enough to gain hands-on experience thanks to Carla and her amazing team who provided tremendous amounts of support and guidance throughout the program. They all were there every step of the way to answer my questions and have me by their side to observe and solve real-life situations. In addition, the program is also structured in a way that allows you to create your schedule according to your own time and don’t worry about missing a class because there will always be another class. Being in school for more than 15 years, it was nice to move away from classroom setting and actually experience the different stages of wedding planning from meeting new clients to attending venue meetings to assisting three weddings – YES three weddings. You can even get involved with the set-up and take-down of decor for other three weddings as well – how amazing is that? Even Trade Sensation has a high reputation when it comes to wedding planning, decor and floral design so don’t be surprised if you attend weddings at astounding venues such as One King West, Royal Ambassador or Holcim Waterfront Estate. If you are really considering pursuing a career in wedding planning, decor styling, floral design or any other professions, you should stop daydreaming and get enrolled into one of the programs already. You will be amazed by the impact these programs have on you as a student and a professional in future.”

My Thoughts:

Born with a passion for beautifully designed environments, Jeanette Robinson chose to shift from working in the professional services industry for 15 years and take a leap of faith by indulging in her ability to decorate weddings and homes.

Jeanette knew right away that the courses offered at Trade Sensation, by owner Carla Abramovici was the perfect muse to get hands on training and get taught by enthusiastic experts who were generous with their knowledge of the wedding business.

She says, “In life the clues of where you are supposed to be and what you’re supposed to be doing are always there. You just have to be aware of the flashing directional a signs of your instincts and literally follow them.”

My Thoughts:

My dream of becoming a decor stylist was not immediately realized until I started having the desire to transform empty spaces into so much more. Whether it be a room in someone’s house or an event space, I always had a vision to turn it into something that would give it a “wow factor”. I’ve been looking for a program that could help make my dream become a reality and this program is the perfect fit! With its classes taking you from A-Z of being a decor stylist with the help of Carla and her team, it definitely excites me to be a part of it and I look forward to the opportunities this will present.

My Thoughts:

I want to see and understand the wedding business inside. It is a great opportunity to shadow your mentor and have the chance to get the most out of it for your future career. I am excited to follow all the steps from the beginning (when you meet the couple first time and try to feel their emotions, and how they see their wedding) to the end (when they are happy with the job you did for them). I am also very interested in little details which you cannot see with the naked eye but without them the wedding wouldn’t go smoothly. Another thing is team work! I used to work in teams at school and even now at work, but I think it is different, as you become one family with your team and the couple for whom the party is organized. I hope this course will give me the best experience ever; and will open other doors to my new future.

My Thoughts:

When I joined The Wedding Planning Mentorship course at Trade Sensation I was astonished at how much hands on experience it gave me. I am WPIC certified however, sitting in a classroom environment did not benefit me the same way it did in the Trade Sensation Mentorship course. I learned how to efficiently assess and solve real-time situations which has definitely prepared me for whatever comes my way! I was able to take everything I learned at WPIC and apply it to the weddings I assisted in while with Trade Sensation. In addition to this, I was able to participate in important daily tasks and meetings such as décor trials, budgeting meetings, final agenda meetings, vendor meetings and creating inspiration boards. After helping with multiple weddings and a lot of dedication, I joined the team as an Assistant Bridal Coordinator. I am so thankful that my commitment to the wedding industry was noticed and valued by Trade Sensation. They are trend-setters and always outshine even their very best work time and time again. I am excited and look forward to the many weddings ahead!

My Thoughts:

I have had a great experience with the Trade Sensation team. Not only were they one of the few people who really contact when you have questions or inquires within a 24Hr turnaround time but they are all so friendly! When moving to Toronto, wedding planning was something I wanted to take a step into. I didn’t know where to start, so I went on google…I found place where I could receive a certification to start in the industry, which were QC School and WPIC weekend courses. Both looked great however I hesitated for a month because I wasn’t sure about investing money into something that was going to be a self-read or a quick 2 day program that just didn’t feel like it was enough. Not knowing what I should be doing I joined the QC School because I felt that I would be touch with experts in the field who are really doing event and wedding planning. When looking for some more hands on experience I stumbled upon the Trade Sensation website, so I sent my resume to the team with a little bit about me, within 24 hours I booked an appointment with the CEO Carla Abramovici (which I thought was crazy for her to just to a meet and greet). I am so glad that I did meet her, because she changed my life and gave me some of the best advice I would get!She advised me to join her school, talked to be a bit about the things you receive and showed me how things work in Trade Sensation. Without a word of a doubt, the opportunity was too good to pass up! I went to classes where you get real hands on experience; you sit with clients, observe the things they say and the issues that come up, and Carla then walks you through questions and really involves you in the wedding planning process. You get to assist on décor set up and take down so not only do you learn the wedding planning world but you see the other elements so you are well equipped! The course not only provides the help and assistance of your peers who are taking the course but you have senior coaching wedding planner who really want your success. If this isn’t enough, at the end you go through an interview process with Carla, owner and CEO, for a potential job within the Team. I honestly can’t say enough about this whole process and how easy and in depth all of the classes are…if anyone is thinking about wedding planning first start here, the certifications aren’t running anywhere…this is the real deal, the hands on everyday life or weddings in this case!

My Thoughts:

Through the Wedding Planning Mentorship Program with Trade Sensation Events, I’ve been gaining such rapid knowledge and hands on experience within the wedding planning industry. I use to think that starting your very own wedding planning business/company was as simple as coming up with an agenda and following through with it on the day of the Wedding. If I had invested my time and money into such a basic & narrow understanding of what I thought “Wedding Planning” really was, I would not have made it really far into this field on my own. With straightforward guidance and very legitimate advice from Carla after each class, I felt very safe being in the hands of such a successful wedding company & felt confident from learning through such real experiences, behind her entire team. Trade Sensation Events offers a full Mentorship Program which allowed me as a student to attend real life scenarios and sit in through client or vendor meetings, which enabled me to gain a whole lot of knowledge in communicating with different types of people in this industry. Stepping into this Mentorship Program, I only hoped to receive minimal experience as a Wedding Planner, and expected to end it with just a certificate to showcase my graduating this course. Instead, I was able to attend real Weddings and assist/train as a real wedding planner. Shortly after my program began, I continued to grow closely with this company as I would attend class, and grow to be a part of their team, which soon after opened such huge doors and opportunities for employment & growth for me! This course allowed me to feel out the entire industry without having to worry about following a strict school schedule or worry about an unaffordable/massive tuition fee. Their class schedules were very lenient and convenient at the same time, allowing me complete the program at my own pace, without consequence for days I would not be able to attend! I feel like if anyone ever strongly feels they deserve and place in this industry and feels passionate about becoming a Wedding planner, Wedding Décor Stylist OR a floral designer (or all of the above), Trade Sensation’s programs would be the best suited route to guide you in the direction for your future success. I am happy to say that through this program, I’ve been employed in the company, cross-trained to serve different aspects within the company & continue to seek growth and attain more knowledge / amazing opportunities alongside Carla & her wonderful team.
